What is the best switch to connect a 2nd battery in parallell with battery on car for emergency jumps? - best car battery
My car is to have to drain the battery like crazy. Dealers can not solve, and not worth too much on an old car. My solution is to connect a second battery in connection with (stowed in the trunk) by the son of the actual battery in the car, and a switch somewhere on my desk when I drive, where you can only include the stem of the battery and change basically the car directly, without the jumper cables. Who knows what to change the specifications of the cable and / or the need to better with the 12 volt car battery? Or other device with on / off position is? What about cable? The hardware is better than another? Any help is welcome!

Have you checked the alternator?
Have you checked the regulator and the diodes?
Check all for a short or open?
